Summer Workshop 2009

Over the past 30 years, hundreds of students have learned to paint in 2 weeks or less, some instantly, with the revolutionary method and process of Tan. With your interest as a starting point, you can too. No previous experience is necessary.

Tan's method and process is simple. There are only two things to practice: Shape & Light value. Both engage your seeing brain to develop your perception and skill resulting in you acting intuitively. Painting is basically a two-step process, you mix the light value, and you paint the shape. And when more than one shape is painted, you need to view peripherally what you have done with the shape Thumbnail image for P7290004.jpgin progress, this is to safe guard you from painting the shape off scale to achieve proportion, perspective and anatomy. Tan teaches by demonstrations, so you get to see first hand how shape & light value works. Attend Tan's workshop; be informed and save yourself from years of skewed teachings, unnecessary struggle and painting through trial and error.
